What to Do in Berlin? Check Out These 5 Awesome Things to Do in Berlin!

It doesn’t happen that often that I get to a city and fall in love immediately and Berlin is definitely one of them. There is so much that I love about this city. The people that try to be so unique, that they all look the same… or that once the temperature passes the double digit mark people wake up from their hibernation to absorb the warm temperatures and the missing vitamin D. Or that there is no place that is so relaxed like Berlin where you can do everything but you don’t really have to!

And what is more important the city has so much to offer. From great monuments, cultural institutions to awesome graffitis that are part of many streets and districts of the city.

Get yourself a cool hotel in Kreuzberg, you’ll be in a very cool and central area and away from the main tourist crowds in Mitte!

Since I recently moved back to this awesome city.

Here are a 5 awesome things to do in Berlin that I look forward to hang out again:

Best Cheesecake in the World

I know what you think… you think that I have no idea because the best cheesecake is in New York or somewhere else in the world. But let me tell you, you are all wrong. Five Elephant is a small cafe at the end of my street with great coffee and the best cheesecake you have ever tasted. Seriously! I dare you to go and have a slice of this cheesecake and you will thank me forever!

Still think I’m wrong? Go to Google and type in “Five Elephant” the first recommendation is “cheesecake recipe”; well, if this isn’t an indication…

Chilling by the River Spree

The Badeschiff is a pretty known hotspot for sun worshippers and party people. It’s a old ship that has been transformed into a pool and lays at the river Spree. You have a little beach area where you can dig your toes in the sand while enjoying a nice cocktail and enjoying the atmosphere and the view over the river and the city. What do you want more? Perfect to chill…

Eat Around The World

Who doesn’t love to eat around the world in just one evening? I look forward to do this regularly at the Street Food Thursday at Markthalle 9 in Kreuzberg. This weekly evening is organized since a year at one of the oldest indoor markets of Berlin. Hundreds of Berliners meet here to taste themselves through the different stands around the world. You can also taste the best cheesecake in the world there, it’s sold out after a few hours though cause it’s soooo good! 😉

Old Spying Station with Amazing View

If you want to be a little more active and not only want to visit the Wall and walk around Unter den Linden and see the Brandenburg Gate you should hop on the S-Bahn to Heerstraße and start your 30 Minutes hike to Teufelsberg (Devils Mountain). An old nazi college that was used by the CIA as a spying station will await you with amazing graffitis and an amazing view over the city and the surrounding country around Berlin and Potsdam.

It is definitely an unusual place to visit during your stay in Berlin and off the path!

Play on an Airport Landing Strip

Where in the world can you play, drive, ride or do whatever on a landing strip in the middle of the city? Well, as I said, in Berlin you can do everything but you don’t have to…

I love to hang out at the Tempelhofer Feld with friends, meet for BBQs or jump on my new board to cruise. The perfect place to slow down or the go crazy, totally up to you and there is enough place for all!

Adress: Tempelhofer Feld, 12099 Berlin

These are only a few of the awesome things I look forward to do in Berlin. What do you like about Berlin?

Ahhh Berlin! I Love it and hate it! Fortunately summer is coming so I am starting to love it again! I love the karaoke in Mauerpark on Sundays and hanging out in Park Friedrichshain, watching all the people playing volleyball. Rollerblading through Tempelhof is one of my favorites too! And on a really hot day – Liepnitzsee is the place to be! 🙂

Great things you gathered here! 🙂 Last Christmas I went to the Five Elephant Cafe after your suggestion and had the cheesecake, which was truly lovely! 🙂
I am still due to do the Teufelsberg hike! Hopefully this summer I can make it!
