My 7 Links Project

First of all a big thanks to Sherry of Colorful Footsteps for nominating me for the “My 7 Links Project”. I am very honored by the invitation because this blog is very young and only 2 months old.

My 7 Links Project” was initiated by Tripbase. The aim is “To unite bloggers (from all sectors) in a joint endeavor to share lessons learned and create a bank of long but not forgotten blog posts that deserve to see the light of day again.”

These are my 7 links:

Eiffel Tower in Paris at New Years Eve

Most beautiful post:
Paris, France

During New Years Eve of last year I spontaneously changed my flights from Australia to Europe in order to surprise my (ex) girlfriend. I will never forget the expression in her face when she opened the door!

Paella Valenciana (c)

Most popular post:
5 dishes you have to eat in Spain

I love food and especially spanish cuisine. Looks like I’m not the only one!

Entrance of Hutt River Province

Most controversial post:
The unknown country within Australia

I couldn’t really find a match for this category. But often when I talk to Aussie friends of mine about Hutt River province they often say that it’s not a real country and that it should get banned or they say that they have never heard of it because you just don’t talk about it in Australia.

Brisbane view from South Banks

Most helpful post:
10 Reasons to visit Brisbane

I got a couple of mails of people saying that they wrote down everything and want to make sure to visit all the spots I wrote down. And even some friends from Brisbane said that this is a good summary of what to do in and around the city.

Humpback Whale Breaching in Byron Bay

Post whose success surprised me:
The Humpback Whale Experience

Pleasant surprise that my post of the kayak which got lifted by a Humpback Whale in Byron Bay (Australia) is the most popular post on my blog (in terms of traffic)

Helsinki Cathedral

Post I feel didn’t get the attention it deserved:
Weekend Escape Helsinki

A post of a weekend in the capital of Finland in October last year. I visited a friend for a weekend and had a really good time.

Australian Hospitality

Post that you are most proud of:
Australian Hospitality

I love this post because it shows how great Aussies are. I met this incredible family during Christmas last year and they were very kind to me and my friend and invited us to celebrate one of the best christmas I had until now.

I would like to invite the following blogger to the project:

Stephanie from The Travel Chica

Matthew from Expert Vagabond

Ryan and Dina from Vagabond Quest

Ayngelina from Bacon is Magic

Wonderful list, Sebastian! I enjoyed reading your links. This has been such a great project because it gives us the opportunity to all go back and view the posts we would otherwise forget.
