Here at Redonda Bay, a neighboring bay of Playa El Gigante close to Tola in the municipally of Rivas, sue is working at a retreat. Two companies are setting up their businesses here. One is Aqua Resort and Spa and the second is Nica Retreats, where sue is working!
Both do and care a lot about the flora and fauna here in Nicaragua and are doing a lot to protect it and try to give the locals the opportunity to work. This is very positive for the whole region. From what I have heard is, that there are many developments in this area and that is positive for the whole infrastructure of this country. Today, you still have to ride on a dirt road for about 20 km’s to get from Tola to here. But in my opinion it is totally worth it!
Here you are staying in a very close contact with nature, you get waken up by the sun and howler monkeys and go to bed with a beautiful sunset nearly every day!
I am here for already one week and I have to admit that this week was amazing. I have learned so much already. Not only about the country and the people but especially about me! [singlepic id=23 w=320 h=240 float=right]
I went to Yoga couple of times and spend a lot of time in nature. Went hiking and rented a stand up paddle surfboard for a day and I absolutely loved to be in so close contact with nature. There is something special about this place. Something you cannot even describe in words!!
Something that I noticed while being here is that you day is actually much more productive than it is at home in Europe. And that even though you are not feeling doing as much as at home. Does that sound weird? The explanation for that is actually very easy, the daily rhythm is totally different from ours in Europe. While our day starts at about 8.30 to 9 am here you wake up with the sun which is mostly around 6 am. That gives you much more time to have some “me-time” in the morning and to start the day more productive. At noon you already feel that you have done a lot of work and the rest of the day you can go a little more slowly!
I really like this way of living![nggallery id=2]
