When the folks at Skyscanner asked me to review their iPad App I didn’t have to think twice, since I’m a big fan of their website and their apps. I’ve found amazing deals through their website during the last years and with the iPhone and iPad app now it’s even more handy.
I’m going to try to give you a step by step intro how I found a relatively cheap flights to London from Berlin where I’m based now!
1. Select your departure Airport
Unless you are flexible from which Airport you want to leave you will have to select your departure airport. If you really are flexible you can select a whole country like Germany.
2. Where are you going?
I want to visit London for a couple of days. Therefore I selected United Kingdom and Skyscanner immediately tells me all the airports in the UK sorted by price. Luckily London Stansted is the second cheapest option from Berlin to the UK.
3. Select your dates
Skyscanner gives you an overview of the daily prices for a whole year and tells you when it is the cheapest time to fly. In my case I can save some bucks when I fly out on the 29th of November for 27 € and return on the 4th of December for 30 €.
4. Select your flight
Once you have selected your dates, it will give you an overview of the flights on these days. Simply select your flight and you are nearly good to go!
5. Book it!
Skyscanner only provides a service. It’s the Google of the Airline industry where they will help you to find the cheapest flights from around the world. The booking takes place on their partner websites and you also buy your tickets at the partners website and not via skyscanner. They only offer the platform to get access to these cheap flights!
