Sometimes I have such a hard life. In March I got invited by the Centara Grand in Bangkok to check out their view from their Red Sky Bar and while there also have dinner in their restaurant. It took me 4 months to find time for this and I kind of regret that I went during my last weeks I was in the city.
Orgasm for your taste buds
I indulged myself in so many delicious things that I’m getting hungry just thinking and writing about it… I had this incredible Iberia ham with apple salad and celeriac and peer rémoulade. This was followed by a Foca Soup and rounded off by a Wagyu beef filet with foie gras and red wine sauce as a main course. By then I already thought I was dreaming. It probably was one of the best steaks I’ve eaten in my entire life.
I’m not a big fan of sweets but while up there I thought that a white chocolate and melon fondue would be a nice treat for sitting on top of the world. And it was… The fondue was refined with porto wine and came with fruits and muffins. Absolutely delicious! The fine and melted chocolate sits on your tongue as another layer and every single taste bud goes crazy experiencing this mix of find white chocolate refined with Porto wine and fruits.
Great Atmosphere and a beautiful view!
After I’ve had the one of the best meals of my life, we went to the top floor to finish the night with a cocktail! The vodka martini was just perfect for the moment while overlooking the big city of Bangkok by night and the always-changing lights of the rooftop.
